Master Bathroom Tile

Now that the tile is almost completed in the master bathroom, one can really get a sense of how everything is coming together nicely. Making the accent tile run horizontally makes the room feel larger than it is, also with the contrast to the dark floor tile, it pulls you into the room. Don't judge though, they haven't cleaned up yet and grouting is a messy business.

In the guest bathroom the accent tile runs vertically in the small shower. The benefit of this is, that the vertical tiles draws your eyes up, and so the shower looks much larger than it really is. It is fun to play around with these optical illusions to make a smaller space look and feel twice its actual size.

I have learned that tiling is a long arduous process. From this photo, you can see that the tiler took painstaking care to make sure that all the seems line up perfectly horizontally and vertically. It's going to look super nice and polished when it is completely done.

Only a few more days and tiling will be done! Can't wait to see the final product.
